Soul Food : A Prayer

Dear Father who are in heaven,

I thank You for this day. I thank You for my very breath, being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me, eventhough I have not been so faithful to you. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask for Your forgiveness as I also have forgiven those who have done wrong to me.

Please keep us, your children, safe from all danger and harm. Help us to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let us make the best of each and every day and enable us to do our best in every task. Help us to clear our minds of all worries and fears, so that we can hear You speak to us, through your Word, through your creation and through those whom you are sending to us, to remind us of who You are in our lives. Unveil our eyes that we can see all things that are from you, and give us wisdom to to resist any temption and do what is right in your eyes.

Let us not whine and whimper over things we have no control over. Help us remember that You are in control when things get tough or when we are pushed beyond our limits. I know that when we put our trust in You, You listen to our prayers. Continue to use us to do Your will. Continue to bless us that we may be a blessing to others. Keep us strong that we may help the weak. Keep us uplifted that we may have words of encouragement for others. Keep us sanctified so that we may continue to influence holiness to those around us. I pray that you use us as a beacon for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for understanding for those who are unable to grasp your will upon their lives. I pray for those who don't know You intimately.


I thank You that you have chosen us to be Yours. I believe that You, O Mighty One of Zion, can touch the hearts of men and change our circumstances into blessings, just because we believe. I pray for Your grace upon all our brothers and sisters in Christ, and for each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, hope, love and joy in their homes, that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this, are able to know that there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You, oh my Savior. Victory is in Your hands, oh Great Almighty One, for the battle is Yours. For if You are with me, who can be against me?

I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it.


God, I love you for you have loved me first. Lord Jesus, I need you, come into my heart and let the Holy Spirit, create a new man in me, the man that you intended me to be, please!
